We saw FireProof last night. It was a wonderful testiment to our faith and putting God first in our marriages and in all aspects of our family life. Kirk Cameron performed an incredible role of a young, unbelieving married -man tangled up in the world. Granted, it was evident that they did not use million dollar, Hollywood actors in all of these roles, but this did not detract from the drama, comedy relief and impact of this film. I highly recommend it. Biblically based. Great for youth and adults. Not for the very young as content refers (very tactfully and tastefully) to lust, adultry, pornography use, worldly gains, hatred, and many more sins of this everyday world. So, why not go see it to support Christian entertainment in the mainstream and add your discussion.

Our local Christian Radio, WIBI in Springfield, IL, reported that Fireproof is holding on to the 11th spot in the ratings this week and they have taken in $24 Million! Since they only spent $1 million, had only one professional actor (Kirk Cameron), the supporting cast was made up of volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, and used just one camera....looks like God was definitely in this church sponsored project. What a wonderful ministry....look out Hollywood...here comes Jesus! Looking forward to more projects from the volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, and Associate Pastors & producers, the Kendrick brothers.
