We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Homosexuality, what is God's view?

There are many "Christian homosexuals" who are not forthright about their homosexuality with their church leaders and fellow churchmen. Some identify with being homosexual but say they are not sexually active and therefore not "in sin". Still others secretly believe that God is okay with their sexual lifestyle so long as it is monogamous and within the context of gay marriage. Is it wrong to tell these different brands of "Christian homosexuals" that they are in sin and must therefore denounce homosexuality as a sin punishable by eternal fire? What about Christians that confuse fellowship with outreach. Is it acceptable to have intimate friendship with homosexuals? What of scriptures like, "be not unequally yoked", or "how can two walk together unless they agree?" Let me hear your thoughts.

Agree. You cannout spew out words without understanding the context. God was harsh in the old testement before he gave us his son who died on the cross for ALL MAN. When he did that in the new testiment he gave us love. Old Testament = Wrath, New Testament=Love. It is our job as christians to help those who have weak hearts to realize that because that individual has not asked god to take refuge in his/her heart it is Satan twisting what they think should be ok or right into something that is not.

I myself have witnessed homosexuals coming to God being born again through baptism and yes becoming straight because God has strenghthen their heart to see the deceptive lies of Lucifer. To ANY one can be saved if....IF they chose to it is not our place as christians to beat them down and force them nor is it our job as christians to berate those that are and show hate to them. That simply makes one an over zealous zealout and not better than homosexuals.

Sorry Chaz you are wrong. God hates them. He hates them so much He has given them up and sentenced them to death. You think he loves fags? What did he do to Sodom? Why would he call sodomites an abomination if he loves them. They are reprobates, and reprobates can't be saved. The defininition of a reprobate is one who is predestined to damnation. God does give people up, and He certainly doesn't love everybody.

Malachi 1: 2-3 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Now, onto God giving up the sodmites.

God has given them up, it's too late for them. He has given them over to a reprobate mind. A reprobate can't be saved. So actually when they say that "God made me this way", they are not lying. They were not born that way, God gave them up to that reprobate lifestyle.

They HATE GOD and are dangerous to our society. They are forcing their disgusting lifestyle into our homes by way of the TV and into the schools to recruit our children. They are perverts. They are infesting their disgusting lifestyle all over.

Furthermore: The bible NEVER EVER says you have to repent and drop your ways or turn from sin to be saved. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Repentence salvation is a works based salvation, and it is a LIE!

Acts 16:29-31

²⁹Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

³⁰And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

³¹And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 10:9

⁹That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 3:16

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

³⁶He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him

The only thing required for salvation is believing ON Jesus Christ for salvation. He is salvation. Not one person has ever been able to give up their sin. Giving up sin is NOT a requirement for salvation. If it were required to give up our sin, everyone would be in Hell.

Wrong ! it is to have FAITH IN God Almight and in his living word. We as fleshy human beings are saved THROUGH his GRACE THAT IS SALVATION but like any parent (he is our father in heaven) there are rules. Heaven is perfect and you can't get into heaven for being just pretty good. Those rules (ten commandments) are based on the premise that they help you to avoid sin. Sure there is forgivness but forgivness only works if you stop doing what it is you are asking forgivness for. Even God can't turn away from a constant sinful life. Just like you can't ask for forgiveness on your death bed for a life filled with blatant sin and expect entrance into Heaven as even Jesus stated "Many will come the the gates of my fathers Kingdome but only few will enter"

So many of you here fail to understand that you have to study the bible because God wanting as such. Much has been written in peribals not straight forward which requires referencing and cross-referencing not just plucking some scriptures that fit your current believe or that side with your opinion. it doesn't work that way.

I have to disagree if a person is to understand scripture they must have the right belief and put their faith in that belief and stand on it then they are given the Holy Spirit to teach and guide them.

In all your studying have you found out what the children of Israel needed to believe to be saved and also that Jesus removed the veil from over the disciples ming so that they could understand the scripture.

The same applies today but our salvation is different and it is for all humanity. So many use what you said right here and it is wrong............saved by grace through faith is not the answer. Your are to have faith and put you belief in a certain part of scripture that is given in the New testament. Where you got that scripture from was Romans and they had not been taught the message of grace as the Apostle Paul says in the first chapter about his waiting to visit them. Also this was written to the Jews in Rome not to us as Gentiles, we did not Know God at that time because Apostle Paul had not started his mission to the Gentiles yet.

all the scripture that you gave was for the Jews (nations of Israel) that is not salvation for any human being to day.
This was when Jesus Christ was alive and in Acts this incident happened before Paul went to the Gentiles (Us). Jesus said something in Matthew when he said he was the Good Shepherd about the hired hands and that is why he is the Good Shepherd. The reason you do not know that there are no Shepherds (Pastors is because the Lord did away with them back in Ezekial Chapter 34. If you are a King James reader it will not reflect that because if the truth were known it would destroy the clergy system that is set up for the Church of England which effects the world in general.

cts 16:29-31

Below is who Jesus says he was sent to:

Now this is who he told his disciples to go to:
Matt 10:1 Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits so they could cast them out and heal every kind of disease and sickness.
Matt 10:2 Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (called Peter), and Andrew his brother; James son of Zebedee and John his brother;
Matt 10:3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
Matt 10:4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
Matt 10:5 Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them as follows: “Do not go to Gentile regions and do not enter any Samaritan town.
Matt 10:6 Go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matt 10:7 As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’

So from the above scripture the only people that Jesus was sent to were the Israelites and we as Gentiles did not know Jesus.

What you gave was for the Israelites salvation only. But I will show you what it really was then:
Matt 16:13 When Jesus came to the area of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
Matt 16:14 They answered, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matt 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Matt 16:16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matt 16:17 And Jesus answered him, “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!
Matt 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
Matt 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”
Matt 16:20 Then he instructed his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

What does peter say in verse 16. That is all that was needed to be saved. Recognizing Jesus was who he said he was and yes they called on his name that was recognition also.

All of these centuries we have been taught wrong we are not Jews by birth right. When we become saved we are grafted into the Jews by faith.

Now this what Jesus said about him being the Good Shepherd and by him saying that he is the Good Shepherd he eliminates the human shepherd (pastors) and he is still the Good Shepherd today because he is our High Priest forever.

Good Shepherd:
John 10:1 “I tell you the solemn truth, the one who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
John 10:2 The one who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
John 10:3 The doorkeeper opens the door for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
John 10:4 When he has brought all his own sheep out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.
John 10:5 They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not recognize the stranger’s voice.”
John 10:6 Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
John 10:7 So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, I am the door for the sheep.
John 10:8 All who came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:12 The hired hand, who is not a shepherd and does not own sheep, sees the wolf coming and abandons the sheep and runs away. So the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters them.
John 10:13 Because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep, he runs away.
John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me –
John 10:15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life for the sheep.
John 10:16 I have other sheep that do not come from this sheepfold. I must bring them too, and they will listen to my voice, so that there will be one flock and one shepherd.

John 10:18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it back again. This commandment I received from my Father.”

Verse 16 is talking about us Gentiles as being the other sheep.
So you see Jesus is our Shepherd not these men and women who say they are called.
Now Our sakvation comes from Jesus and we must believe by faith and it is in scripture and I do know what it is because this is what I stand on. I give it to people who truly want to know God because most will not obey him and I don't want anyone to run off and not know the truth and miss out on eternal salvation. There are others who use this scripture and stll disobey God.

Heb 5:1 For every high priest is taken from among the people and appointed to represent them before God, to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
Heb 5:2 He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness,
Heb 5:3 and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.
Heb 5:4 And no one assumes this honor on his own initiative, but only when called to it by God, as in fact Aaron was.
Heb 5:5 So also Christ did not glorify himself in becoming high priest, but the one who glorified him was God, who said to him, “You are my Son! Today I have fathered you,”
Heb 5:6 as also in another place God says, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
Heb 5:7 During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.
Heb 5:8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered.
Heb 5:9 And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,
Heb 5:10 and he was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Do you see verse 9, I don't want anybody to miss this because we have been deceived long enough and a lot of the people who have put their faith in the scripture are still being misled.
Below is what you must and others must believe to be saved:
Verse 3 and 4 are what you must put your faith in and believe:

1Cor 15:1 Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel that I preached to you, that you received and on which you stand,
1Cor 15:2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message I preached to you – unless you believed in vain.
1Cor 15:3 For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received – that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,
1Cor 15:4 and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,

Now I will show you who God says you are:
1Cor 3:16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
1Cor 3:17 If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.

By the above scripture you are Gods church and the Holy Spirit lives in you so you have know need to attend the church that God never told his Apostles to build.

Now you may see what I mean by disobeying God there are peopl who haven't taken that up and still attend services that are not of God.

He does say in Hebrews don't forget the meetings but that isn't church as you see oit today.

Also I do have the answer for homosexuality and it is scriptural. Alsop we are New testament Christ and the Law of Moses is no more.

While this is an old post, I dare say that I need to lift a level of frustration that is on my chest in regards to this matter Pastor Torres. I believe and I have read in the bible that homosexual lifestyles are indeed in directly conflict of Gods laws. I have no problem voice my stance on this and I work in a Court House. What is really eating me away is that in today's society when we quote scripture on this issue we are being told that we (true Christians) are spewing "hate" words...HUH? so the hypocritical (and often called counterfeit Christians by Pastor John Hagee) who claim god is alright with what they are doing because he is a god of love, are also saying that when God says no then he is spewing hate as well, no only those who are Christian repeating his words.

They are a hypocritical group that claims one thing of Christian movements and yet does the very thing they complain about. Some of the major networks see fit to "shove" this garbage down our throats with episodes of our favorite shows promoting gay lifestyles. CBS & Fox are two of the biggest offenders. Look my wife loves Grey's Anatomy & Glee and to tell you the truth I do to but I cannot stand how they through it in your face in an effort to force society to accept it. A good story can be told without having homosexuality as a part of it AND that includes straight people having sex before marriage. Look at the bill cosby show. A great show without all the garbage society now has.

Recently Apple pulled an app. from their store that was deem safe for all audiences (which inofitself is rare) from their iTunes store because a gay rights group did an online petition claiming that is spewed hate words and was misleading. The app was called Exodus International and it was designed to educate people on why homosexuality is wrong scripturally. Apple claims that it failed to follow the proper approval process even though it was originally approved. Apple caved and yet they have tons of homosexual apps promoting the lifestyle through iTunes. This morning alone I was watching CBS morning news (channel 10 in Sac. CA) and I noticed a quick (5 sec) what looked to be a Target symbol with the title Homosexual Rights Group then disappear. Now being a techi, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was a technical glitch for an upcoming store but now it never happened. So what now, are we reverting to the subliminal sharks of the 40's trying what has become and outlawed tactic by the FCC?

Look my fellow Christians! We stand on the throws of the prophecy of the rapture of the church and the return God almighty. Now more then every our voice MUST be heard. We MUST unite as ONE voice. Vote, shout and stand up for Christianity and Gods living word. Otherwise, we are not better then anyone else. We cannot afford to have the "I'll let someone else fight for me" attitude.

Evidently no one is aware of the Old Testament be closed to the Jews so evidently it is closed to us gentiles as we are New Testament Christians. So you can't just go pulling scripture from any where in the bible.

Homosexuality is the manisfestation of sexual desire toward a member of ones own sex, being sexual active has no diffrence from someone who desires homosexuality. They are both sins. Someone who lives their life accpecting the desire and thinking that its okay as long has sexual acts doesnt take place is wrong:[ There are no such thing as christian homosexuals. A christian follows god words and abides by his rules.For a christian the bible is the final authority for belief and behaviour.In the bible it talks about homosexuality numerous ammount of times, it is just not of god and what he wants for his children, If one fully commits to god the desire of homosexuality would cease, It would be removed because all things will become come new. I had a problem of stealing once before, it was hard to stop because the desire of getting something for free was to hard to let go. But with prayer and my commitment to god the desire of stealing went away,along with every other sins i commited, if someone continues to accept homosexuality as a normal thing and think as long as sexual activity doesnt not happen then its okay. they need to read god word more carefully because they are very wrong. it means they did not fully commit but instead trying to bend gods words for ones own desire or simply ignoring it. You cannot be born a homosexual,its just impossble, its just against nature, homosexuality is just a confusion for most people, all we can do is pray and try to show them scriptures in the bible about gods rules about it. to learn more just go to bible.org or simply read your own bible.

As an exgay I never thought I would be able to date women, but I have begun to do so lately. I really have experienced a change in my sexual desire after being celibate for 9 years. I thought that homosexuals were called to live a celibate life but maybe we can change. I hope so.

I do not believe in homosexuality & I never will. It is wrong & it clearly states that in the Bible. Like someone said two people of the same sex can not reproduce there for they are not made for each other. & like my boyfriend said before, No one is born gay. thats like saying that a murder is born a murder. he is not, he TURNS into a murder. that is his choice like gay people make the choice to be gay. I love everyone, but I do not support gay rights and so forth & never will!

i have gay friends and they brighten up a gloomy room. they are fun to be with. i really want to tell them about appreciating God's choice or destiny for them. God made them to be a man and they should accept it because it is God-given. why is it so hard to ACCEPT what God gave you?... is it so hard that you let your own way and be like what you want? i want to open this up to homosexuals. is it really hard to accept?? well, being a gay was also because of the environment they once lived... well, fight that desire in your heart... a family is composed of a man and a woman.

i dont know if it is a sin or not..but, accept it or not..God made only two type of person,...a man and a woman...
