We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Homosexuality, what is God's view?

There are many "Christian homosexuals" who are not forthright about their homosexuality with their church leaders and fellow churchmen. Some identify with being homosexual but say they are not sexually active and therefore not "in sin". Still others secretly believe that God is okay with their sexual lifestyle so long as it is monogamous and within the context of gay marriage. Is it wrong to tell these different brands of "Christian homosexuals" that they are in sin and must therefore denounce homosexuality as a sin punishable by eternal fire? What about Christians that confuse fellowship with outreach. Is it acceptable to have intimate friendship with homosexuals? What of scriptures like, "be not unequally yoked", or "how can two walk together unless they agree?" Let me hear your thoughts.

just wanted to add,that you could me more sensitive or should i say loving to the way you address that..its remarks like that,that make people in that that are trying to change pull away.

God has spoken about homosexuality in Romans, it is not naturally right to do and is against Gods standards and calls it sin, Sodom and Gomora were destroyed because of homosexuality, God has made it clear what He thinks about it, but our government even thinks its ok gay marriage. Its just not natural and not meant to be, as God has created man and woman in marriage to make love or having sex alone. homosexuality is just not natural and is very wrong in God's eyes.

I truly beleive that homosexuality is wrong. If we have a chance to offer them the good life which is in Jesus Christ, then that's what we should do, but if they don't accept it on God's terms, then no matter how hard it hurts, we need to turn away from them. There is nothing more you can do with people who try to re write the bible and make it seem like God is Ok with sin. He didn't Die on the cross for nothin! We all have sined and need to confess our sin. before we go helping others with there sin we need to take care of ours first. How can you take a stone out of his eye, when you have one just as big in your own?

APA revises 'gay gene' theory

The attempt to prove that homosexuality is determined biologically has been dealt a knockout punch. An American Psychological Association publication includes an admission that there's no homosexual "gene" -- meaning it's not likely that homosexuals are born that way.

For decades, the APA has not considered homosexuality a psychological disorder, while other professionals in the field consider it to be a "gender-identity" problem. But the new statement, which appears in a brochure called "Answers to Your Questions for a Better Understanding of Sexual Orientation & Homosexuality," states the following:

"There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles...."

That contrasts with the APA's statement in 1998: "There is considerable recent evidence to suggest that biology, including genetic or inborn hormonal factors, play a significant role in a person's sexuality."

Peter LaBarberaPeter LaBarbera, who heads Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, believes the more recent statement is an important admission because it undermines a popular theory.

"People need to understand that the 'gay gene' theory has been one of the biggest propaganda boons of the homosexual movement over the last 10 [or] 15 years," he points out. "Studies show that if people think that people are born homosexual they're much less likely to resist the gay agenda."

Matt Barber with Liberty Counsel feels the pronouncement may have something to do with saving face. "Well, I think here the American Psychological Association is finally trying to restore some credibility that they've lost over the years by having become a clearly political organization as opposed to an objective, scientific organization," he states. With the new information from the APA, Barber wonders if the organization will admit that homosexuals who want to change can change.

Matt Barber"It's irrefutable from a medical standpoint that people can leave the homosexual lifestyle," he argues. "Homosexuality is defined by behavior. Untold thousands of people have found freedom from that lifestyle through either reparative therapy or through -- frankly, most effectively -- a relationship with Jesus Christ."

LaBarbera agrees. "Change through Christ is possible -- and it's one of the most heartwarming aspects of the whole gay debate," he shares. "Many men and women have come out of homosexuality, mostly through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The fact that these professional organizations will not study that, will not acknowledge that, shows how 'in the tank' they are for the homosexual movement."

LaBarbera stresses that even though elites will not recognize the change, that does not mean the change does not exist. In fact, both Barber and LaBarbera believe that God changes people through Christ -- regardless of the sin.

Hasn't Christ HIMSELF said all along this is none of our business? Hasn't Christ JESUS told us not to judge others, but to love them as we would like to be loved. The statistics are gruesome for "hate crimes" and persecution. Hitler tried to eliminate homosexuals, but he also tried to succeed in a Jewish genocide. Is this right? It is not. It is not right no matter which way you look at. God has told us to accept Christ into our hearts and become saved to escape the jaws of Hell. Jews do not believe Jesus was and is the Messiah, some even mock him, but God himself said that He and the Jews have a covenant, a special relationship. What goes down with the Hebrews is between them and God. That's how I think homosexuality should be looked at. We should love our family members, friends, neighbors, fellow Christians, etc. regardless. We should show unconditional respect and understanding because that's how Christ was. We are called to be as Christ. He, Himself, sat at a table of sinners. He associated with the "wrong crowd," the type of people society looked down on. He was most definitely "unequally yoked." Jesus is my friend, and let me tell you, He is uequally yoked in our relationshop. So as for homosexuals, let them and God work it out... okay?

The Bible tells us that Jesus associated with sinners, but it also tells us that when He healed some, He told them to sin no more. See He knew the truth in their hearts. The trouble is sin. When we see our sin and are broken by it we repent . If we reject the truth and keep sinning that's our sin problem. God loves us and wants us to see our sin as it is and accept the gift of His Son as the escape from it. Our society and the world around us constantly bombard us with worldly ideas and ideals, but my Bible speaks the truth and the truth holds freedom for everyone who seeks it. I have homosexuals in my family. I love them but cannot stand in agreement with them.

See this is where pious Christians come from. We are NO better than anyone else. Just because you are attracted to men and someone else loves women does NOT make you better. If "we" keep sinning? I mean we could play the whole "we're all in this together" High School Musical thing and pretend this is a "we" situation, but it's not. If YOU keep sinning, if YOU reject the truth.
Each person must come face to face with God on the Day of Judgement, and what judgemental, pious people believe isn't going to make a difference when it comes down to a homosexual and God. Let people live their lives. As long as we allow them to hear the word of Christ, we have done our job. As for the hateful things you said earlier, it is not our place to judge. It is not our job. We are not worthy of the Lord's job. Let's focus on ourselves and learn to love. No matter what sexual orientation a person might be. I'm sorry, but your opinion doesn't matter, God's does. Don't dwell on what your ignorant, my ignorant, OUR ignorant minds think, but only on what as Christians we know is true; Christ Jesus is our Savior.

iam in my 20s and have struggled with this since a kid although I am no longer practicing bisexuality. But the attraction sometimes is still there. I am just staying pure with God's help and want to evangelise the world. The devil is really using this sin to pull ppl away from God. I used to be on a 'gay' networking site and I came accross many guys who were brought up Christian and just can't find any answers but to pursue their sexuality, as the Church usually just judges. Once a person becomes 'accepted' and gets swallowed up in the 'gay scene' they usually just stay with it as they feel part of a family and 'wanted.' Sadly this is where the Church fails. Alot of gay ppl, come from broken families and have been sexually abused (same as me) and their sexual identity was wounded when they were young and the devil (how I hate that creature) just pushes them away from God. I really believe God will use my testimony to help others and help save these lost souls from the clutches of satan. THANKYOU blogger for addressing this. Usually the Church just sweeps it under the carpet. & God bless all you saints on here for being understanding, yet uncmprompromising in your views. The Bible is clear it is a sin, however we need to love these ppl into the kingdom, not judge. Much love in Christ and I hope I find some good edifing Christian friends on this site, as this is something I do not have atm, just me and Jesus.
