We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

There are many "Christian homosexuals" who are not forthright about their homosexuality with their church leaders and fellow churchmen. Some identify with being homosexual but say they are not sexually active and therefore not "in sin". Still others secretly believe that God is okay with their sexual lifestyle so long as it is monogamous and within the context of gay marriage. Is it wrong to tell these different brands of "Christian homosexuals" that they are in sin and must therefore denounce homosexuality as a sin punishable by eternal fire? What about Christians that confuse fellowship with outreach. Is it acceptable to have intimate friendship with homosexuals? What of scriptures like, "be not unequally yoked", or "how can two walk together unless they agree?" Let me hear your thoughts.

it is probably very hard to quit immediately. i mean, we're only human. I'm sure if jesus ever had to struggle with homosexuality he could quit immediately, but notice how i said 'struggle'.
You are going to struggle because you are not doing what you use to do. Thats when you lean on God to carry you through. Also, read the Word of God and start speaking it over your life.
hopefully when you say 'you', you're not talking about me.... cuz im totally straight... just thought i'd say that just in case. guys are wonderful. homosexual guys are cool cuz i can understand them. but homosexual girls give me a headache cuz i have no idea whatsoever about their emotions and whatnot.
sorry... i thought you was. I Should had ask you first. sorry again.
They are not born that way, it is what they choose to do because God gave them a mind to think and Satan gets into with his devious ways and destroys these people because they cannot avoid temptation. Their thoughts that it is ok is a bunch of bunk and there isno place for it in the christian society, let alone the clergy!
We're human as well as christian so of course we'd be obsessed with sexual immorality. It is scandalous. O.O...and you have a huge point about marrying out of race and how that's acceptable now-a-days. There are a billion other Old Testament rules that are- even Jesus broke some of them, such as the rest on the Sabbath rule. Also, maybe homosexuality is somewhat of God's plan to solve overpopulation... which would be a good thing...
O.O clergy? they're still around???? i read about them in ap world... like, in the middle ages... where they were totally hated and despised cuz they were dirty rich and didn't care about peasants.
This is actually a very well thought out question... I like it because it is very hard to tell your view on the matter and it seems as if you genuinely want to hear opinions.

I think that it is possible to be a Christian and a homosexual, however, I don't think that God much approves of the whole homo thing because of what he did in Sodom and burning everything up, yet there were other issues besides homosexuality, so it's not like he has this hardcore hatred towards the sin even more so then he does against stealing, or murder, or adultery, or hate, or racism...
I think that homosexuality, meaning feeling emotions towards someone of the same gender, is okay. I mean, God made us to lust after each other for a reason, and that reason is usually so that we can marry some person and with that person have some amazing, epic sex and have babies who will eventually do the same thing one day. Homos though are screwed on the inside for many different reasons, and yeah I believe that they could be born that way but I don't feel like finding evidence right now because the next thing that I research is the Christian church's role in the Holocaust for a speech in English. I don't think they had much role so it'll just be like, "Stupid Christians were uninvolved and totally Nazi."
Avoiding a friendship with a homosexual just because they are homosexual is totally and completely wrong. It sends them the message, I hate you and God hates you too. It makes them hopeless when it comes to Christianity.
Also, I believe that a person can be homosexual and Christian. It's not as if they are worshiping sex, and humans aren't perfect. It is a sin of theirs and guess what? Homosexuality is just one sin. There are many sins. No one can live 5 minutes without sinning. What makes it more horrible for a man to be lusting after a man then a man lusting after a woman that he's not married to? Before we can judge homosexuals, we need to change ourselves. And that means no judging, because without help from God, none of us can change.
Plus, Who are we to judge the homosexual? No one who is straight knows what it is like to be homo, so really, they can't say anything about it. They don't know what the homo is going through. Homosexuals have guts. They are willing to stand up for what they believe in and risk all sorts of torment and prosicution for it, and I have a strong admiration for them.
They are only mocking God by attending church as homosexual. Period. Read II Corinthians chapter 6 beginning at verse 14, this tells who we should or should not associate with. These "gays" that do attend church need to repent, give up their lifestyle and apologize to God for their mockery!
Berlin, I think it's possible for a person to be a homosexual and a Christian but I think that if they are truly dedicated to Christ they will want to turn away from the homosexual lifestyle.
I think they might physically turn away and they truly believe it's something that God wishes for them to give up then they'll pray for their mental homosexual urges to flip and become hetro or just... not at all. Whatever God wants them to be.
I think we know from the Bible that God frowns on a person deciding to live a homosexual lifestyle. He calls it an abomination. I don't think the church needs to turn homosexuals away, in fact we badly need for them to be encouraged to come to church and learn the truth. We need to show them that we love them and care for them despite their sins. I believe that's what Jesus would have us as Christians to do.
