We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Homosexuality, what is God's view?

There are many "Christian homosexuals" who are not forthright about their homosexuality with their church leaders and fellow churchmen. Some identify with being homosexual but say they are not sexually active and therefore not "in sin". Still others secretly believe that God is okay with their sexual lifestyle so long as it is monogamous and within the context of gay marriage. Is it wrong to tell these different brands of "Christian homosexuals" that they are in sin and must therefore denounce homosexuality as a sin punishable by eternal fire? What about Christians that confuse fellowship with outreach. Is it acceptable to have intimate friendship with homosexuals? What of scriptures like, "be not unequally yoked", or "how can two walk together unless they agree?" Let me hear your thoughts.

As said in Joshua, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." It is not up to me to say or not say what God wants me to do. I will not change his rules because I am not Jesus, so I will continue to follow his laws whether Old or New Testament. Homosexuality has no place in society..Period.
Read Leviticus chapter 18 verse 22, I Corinthians, chapter 6, verse 9,and I Timothy, chapter 1, verse 10. End of discussion, I will no longer reply to this discussion. It also says something to the effect of idols in these laws also.

i'd argue with this but i won't.... cuz it's end of discussion and i don't want to appear to be one of those argumentative christians who screams at the other christians and other people and whatnot and turns people off.... and i've said all i've had to say on the matter as well. homosexuality is wrong, but only God can cure a homosexual of their own fleshly desires. sometimes the flesh can be overbearing and too much for a person, and that's where God steps in and lends them a hand. ;) hopefully we can all agree to that.

ugh. i have to respond to this now cuz i'm off my ADHD meds and so i am incredibly impulsive right now. Obviously they do have a place in society. They have a name, gay. They have a symbol, rainbow. I have so many feminine friends who passionately kiss each other in the hallways. They are people and they are in a society- they are in our society. And we've got to live with it, show them love, and introduce them to Jesus. Jesus hung out with the tax collectors and healed on the sabbath. He was more willing to break the rules... probably more so then you are. You might think Homosexuals are mere scum, but they're not, and Jesus loves them just as much as he loves you. They're created in the image of God. We all sin and we all have dirty habits... Unless you're a member of the Holy Trinity or an angel-not-yet-fallen, I think that you have no right what-so-ever to judge anyone of anything. Let God fight your battles for you... just don't make God look repulsive.

Be not deceived. The King James bible is the perserved Word of God. It is complete. Nothing shall be added or taken away. God preserved His Word for us, as he said He would. Please don't let false teachings and prophets deceive you.

Obviously they were left out, or they would be there. God wrote the bible. I trust that He told me what he wanted me to know, and that is preserved in His Holy Word, and left out when he didn't. When I get to heaven, I can ask Him.

Every book in the Bible is listed here and so are these that were not put in by man, I think Martin Luther although my mind is in a fog right now, my memory banks have failed me. It is like knowing someones name and you are talking to them but you do not remember their name. most of these are 1st and 2nd century writings and some even from the Dead Sea scrolls. God is my path on this in bringing out the truth although there are many people out there with ears that cannot hear and eyes that cannot see and I am also aware of all the false prophets, atheists, and antichrist in this world.

Wow, great topic. I am totally against homosexuality, it is sin, period, and not the way God intended us to be. And anyone who uses scripture, like we should love them the way they are and accept them in the church, is totally out of context and needs to stop watering down the Word. Enough of the attitude that God loves us the way we are. Of course he loves us, but he doesn't accept us in that sin.... grrr, so frustrating, repent(turn away) and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and if you truly repent, you won't desire those things anymore, like drugs, gay, lying, etc. I know, I am clean now 14 months thanks to Jesus, and I have a change of heart, I love what God loves and hates what God hates... Amen

Why is this topic so controversial? Are there Christians addicted to porn? Yes, is it a sin? Yes! Will it destroy them if they don't repent and find freedom? Yes! Is homosexuality a sin? Yes. Will it destroy them if they don't find freedom? Yes! The fact is when you are in sin it damages your heart, relationship with God and things start to fall apart and life and you screw up more because your heart is not protected by the breastplate of righteousness. If we know someone is struggling with porn we have compassion on them because we don't want them to suffer the hurt. Same as we would our own kid if they screwed up. We do not make them feel like crap or beat them down but lift them up and say they can beat it and offer to walk with them through it. It may get messy as they will prolly fail way more than they like. Don't approve but be patient and faithful and look for heart issues. If they ignore your wisdom and help don't help them unless they ask. It is useless to try to help someone no matter how much you care that doesn't want your help. Let them know if they ever need help and are willing to accept advice you are there and leave. Don't waste your energy God is judge. They are sinning you sin at times, your no better and just pray they find the grace of God. They are no different just because you have not committed that particular sin. If you do so you will be judged as you judged. God will say, well christ (I) never lied and you did so go to hell.

to be tempted by the thoughts flashing toward your head is not sin, however when you actually think of them or decide to actually think about it when it is there would be which I believe is what you said, to be homosexual is a choice regardless of sexual activity so yes it is a sin as much as anything else however we all sin and fall short.
