We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

how to begin and maintain an active youth group in a small church

In our attempt to reach out to all our church family we are looking for successful ways to begin and maintain a youth group aimed at our elementary children. Our church does not have a history or tradition of children's Sunday School though we are making progress and have seen some growth in that area. We have a small but active high school youth group and would like to develop an active youth group for our elementary and / or middle school children. Any suggestions from those of you who have successful youth group histories is welcome.

My suggestion is kids now days are all into what is cool. If it isnt cool they wont attend. It is hard to get a youth group gowing but through god anything is possible. I would say the best way is make it fun for them get good games more up beat music playing in there. Also you could always talk the high schooler into talking to some kids to bring more in. I know when i was in school which wasnt too long ago if you say older kids High school and Middle School kids doing something when you are in elementary school you wanted to do it as well. Also I know at one church that i went too in Illinois run by the Bonds back then they had a whole building set up for the youth and they had good music snacks lots of games and stuff like that and a good youth pastor. They did have a bus as well. Good luck to ya bringing in Kids into your church god bless i will pray that thing work out for ya.

we have a wonderful group of young kids we do dramas and stuff with them just like the yough if u have something their 4 the kids to do they will want to come back

i agree you have to make it fun but dont forget to teach about jesus in my youth group we do lockins and human videos you can have fun but they need to learn about jesus

Youth groups and childrens ministries are unscriptural. Teaching children that church is a place to go to have fun, is training them to believe this. What happens when they grow up?

They don't go to church anymore. Or they end up in a liberal church with women pastors.

Hi i just started a ministry here in Tilbury. A good idea is to get some business card with your details put them in shop windows. Advertise a bible study session. Go onto the streets and preach the good news.People dont come to you you go and find them they are out there Hope your church grows

hold a music event invite youth to partake or ask for songwriters to come and perform their song
