Looking For Someone To Walk Beside Me

I've recently confessed to a couple people in my life (my pastor being one of those people) that I struggle with sexual sins- specifically that I am attracted to the same sex (as well as the opposite sex). I am fully aware of what Scripture says in regards to the homosexual lifestyle/behaviors, and that is why I choose to deny my flesh and follow Christ, being obedient to the life He calls me to live. I know that as I continue to be honest to those around me I may face abandonment from some, but I know there will be those who stand beside me and walk beside me as I bear this cross I've been given. 

Lately, every day it's seems that the battle between what is right and what is wrong is becoming more real. I'm struggling with the doubts of my endurance. I'm fighting contradicting emotions. My desire to live for God is strong, but I'm under attack constantly. 

The reason I post this is because I thought that perhaps there is some among you who find themselves fighting this same battle, choosing to deny their flesh daily in order to live for God, remaining sexually pure, and maybe I could get some support and guidance from them. It'd be nice to talk to someone who has "been there" in terms of confessing this struggle, this sin, and seeking to turn away from it- someone who has faced the reactions of the people in their lives, and of the Church. 

I'm new here, and I'll be quiet honest, I often forget I sign up for these sites, post something, and forget to come back and check on the post.
