We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Scared Skeptic

i've been debating myself back and forth with my faith. It's not that I don't believe in God, it's that I don't feel I have a relationship with him, therefore it's hard to call myself a Christian. Sometimes late at night, right before I fall asleep, a thought pops into my head: the thought of death and eternity. On one hand, if there is no heaven and hell, then our minds vanish forever. On the other, we go to heaven and spend eternity with God. This thought, for some reason, scares me sooo much that I freak out, hyperventilate, and have to go downstairs and watch television to calm myself enough to fall asleep. I would love to have a relationship with God, I just don't know how. I don't feel I know him at all. I really need to talk to someone who is strong in their faith. My family and friends either don't go to church, or only go because they are forced to. Can someone please help me, before it's too late???

Jordan i can totally relate to you when you talk about not having a relationship with God and only goin to church because you have to. About the whole relationship thing in order to have a relationship with God you need to talk to him just like you would talk to any or your other friends and also get into the word .If you get into your word it will teach you how to have a relationship with God . i know for me i had to make an effort to read and talk to God at first it was not easy by any means but what i got in return was well worth it . and don't be afraid and worry what to say to God just tell him the truth and let it come from your heart let him know how you feel about your relationship with him and the areas where you want and need to grow. another thing that will help you is surronding yourself with people who are christans and can pray for you and encourage you . another major thing is you need to find a church to go to a church where the preach is preaching the true work of God you should pray and ask God to lead you . also don't just go to church on sundays you should be there every time the doors are open and i know this will not be easy but just ask God to help you. also don't be surprised if when you start making these changes things start to haapen the Devil will try anything to stop you from growing in God because know you are a threat to him since your not on his side anymore .and there may be some people ypu may have to take out of your life but dont worry the Bible say God will be a friend to the friendless and he will send you godly friends to encourage you and help you well i hope this helps you and i will be praying for you your sis in christ Olivia

Hey Jordan,
I, too can completely relate to how you feel. I feel like sometimes I go back and forth in having a good relationship with God and then sometimes leaving him on the back burner. I think the most important thing that you can do is pray. Pray to develop and closer relationship with him. Pray for understanding. The bible says to ask in prayer. So... Pray!
