Sexual Immorality is as a whole, "immoral" in most if not all Christian circles. A past discussion about homosexuality demonstrates how sexual topics in Christian are passionate. It would seem that in general, most of us believe that moral definition does not change with the times. This is an easy view in conversations of homosexuality, I guess.

However the Bible gives us a few conundrums to ponder if we choose to. The daughters of Lot seduced got him drunk and had sex with him. This frown-worth offense was never "chastised" per se'. What about Solomon, and Davids' concubine obsession. They had many, and we know that "concubine" is a nicer way to say sex slave.

Do the rules change. Who makes these rules, or are these considered sins under the unchanging definition of immorality?

The rules do not change. The sins of Lot and his daughters, King David, as well as others are mentioned but not condoned. A sin is a sin is a sin. The rules are made by and always have been made by God. God's love for a person is not based on any action the person may or may not do. It is based on the person's heart and how he views sin. David for one is shown to repent of many of his sins specifically. The Psalms if nothing else show this. God called David a man after His own heart. Yet David was an adulterer, a murderer, betrayer of a comrade. If God's love was based on any action or actions that we may or may not do, He would not love any of us.
not so fast....concubines were mention in a positive light as a mark of status, and success in the bible and I think you know that. It's easy to call David's lifestyle a sin now, but the way it's written was not that of a sin in it's time. "A sin is a sin is a sin" is a cliche'. We know that multiple wives was a way of life. Is that a sin now? Don't cliche' it away.
just because that lifestyle was accepted back then doesnt mean it is right..."a sin is a sin is a sin" still stands, cliche or not.
Your arugment is that basically if they did it than why can I in a nut shell....but we also have to remember that those 3 instances took place in the old testiment "under the law" in which Jesus Christ came on the scene and died for us because we could not uphold the law...also in that day and time it was not unlawful to do such things..it was custom to have more than one wife and lot daughters wanted to perserve there fathers seed they were not lusting after him they where simple reproducing to keep the blood line flowing...which also confirmed the promise God made to Abraham and his descendents! You ever heard of the saying "when in Rome do as the Romans do" or something like that ..lol...Having more than one wife is still a custom practiced in middle eastern countries and muslim religion if you can afford it....of course now with all the many physical and mental side affects that comes with blood relatives reproducing with one another we know better..we are wiser..and thus would not need to feel the need to do such an act merly for the sake of reproducing..which also brings me to my last point.........we as humans flesh can make anything immoral by taking it and using it out of its content or by changing its use...sex is no difference......sex was created to reproduce..our ancestors soon learned there was pleasure in sex. and having sex in many diffrent ways, positions, penatrations, ppl, NOW who's to say oral sex is immoral even if your married.....you cant reproduce by having oral sex or masturbating! lol if you wanna have sex with ur father or have concubines move to a land that its not prohibitated. rules have not changed..we have...because JESUS CHRIST came on the scene and delivered us from all that!
God's rules don't change. He made the rules against sex before marriage to protect us! Sleeping around increases chances of getting an STD or having children and not having the father around. It protects our hearts as well because sex is very intimate and gives an illusion of closeness....women are heartbroken when they are dumped so adding sex to that makes it worse. I agree that it is best to abstain from sexual immorality! I am proud to be a virgin!
romans 1:26-32 speaks of homosexuality and how men and woman left their naturaal uses for the opposite sex and turned to each other in lust and sin...who makes the rules?? God does and he is obviously against homosexuality...does that mean we should discriminate homosexuals?? NO! ! ! all sin is equal in Gods eyes, so who are we to judge them?? i, who have lied, am no better than a murderer...so i am no better than someone who claims to be gay...we should love homosexuals despite their sin, just as God does for EVERY single one of us.
