Wes, what a great group you created.
it's nice for people that love to write from the soul/heart to be able to share what they've created and also get feedback.

When the darkness falls like a velvet cloak
and the warmth of the sun leaves us for another day,
We remember that December has a way of changing the landscape.

With a sudden chill in the air, we reach for the warmth of woolen jackets, and warm fireplaces.
We enjoy the home and hearth, as we have done , so often in the past.

It is almost time for another Christmas, with all its traditions,and memories.
We get out the hot chocolate, the fresh bread, and the comfort food.

What a wonderful feeling we get, as we prepare for the presents, the food and the family get togethers.
May our hearts overflow with glad tidings, and love for one another,
and may we remember why we celebrate, who we celebrate, and relax in the glad tidings of peace, love and the joy of this special season.

I am adding my little piece, not sure where to put it, but perhaps someone will tell me.. thanks my first attempt.... be kind...

PAIN HAS DRAPED ME LIKE A WET BLANKET
EACH TIME I TRY TO MOVE IT JUST SEEMS HEAVIER
MY MIND TELLS ME TO GIVE UP THE STRUGGLE
BUT I CANT
AS EACH DAY PASSES SO WILL THE PAIN
THIS BLANKET THAT HAS COVERED ME
WILL SOON DRY AND SET ME FREE

God bless u, u and u/theres no reason 2 be blue/ our Savior is on His way/we r on borrowed time today/ so its time to rally the troops/tighten up dem boots/go in unfamiliar terrain/theres lost souls out there meng/it took 4 me 2 lose my mom to get right/so its my job to turn da lost 2 da Light/i feel like quitting sometimes/then i get to writing theses rhymes/and i know its God using me/i thank Christ 4 what He done on dat tree/ love yall b blessd

do u have mustard seed faith?/or do u use it as bait/i pray at the end of the day we have used it/ bcuz God only knows when we really use it/ we need to stop depending on our self/bcuz self is da same one cryn out 4 help/ Jesus help me 2 trust u/when my days r sunny n when their blue/ i have my wife n kids depending on me/ when actually im depending G-o-d/ next month will b a year no job/so as i turn dat knob../i pray u open doors, cuz i cant take it anymore/theres gotta b more in store/ our tshirts arent sellin like i thought/and da brothas and sisters dat bought../ i pray u bless them a hundred-fold/goodnite, i love u Jesus lovin ur stories best ever told....

im not from arizona but i useta smoke on it/didnt even know iwas in a pit/deeper than the grand canyon/now im honorer to be called God's son/ and no im not talkin about nas/and even tho i have flaws../i ask God to make me better/this is just a letter.../in my autobiography...go attack today/wow same day as da devils day/ but b it may im gonna pray/ bcuz here on earth is not where i plan 2 stay/ love u all and i see yall anaotha day ...God bless ...faith up swag down
