I like the question "what do you understand by prayer and fasting?"

i think alot of people see fasting as some pointless ritual, when really, it can bring you to such an intimate place with the Lord...not only are you denying yourself something that your body is dependant on and clinging to God in place of that, but you are also weakening yourself and learning to use Him as your strength...physically, spiritually, and mentally...i fast when i am overwhelmed and dealing with something that i know i can't handle because it reminds me just how powerful he is and that everything is in his control...he is my strength and salvation...Isaiah 12:2
