My Testimony (about me)

I was raised in a Christian home but like many still didn't understand walking the Christian walk. The real turning point in my life was when I found myself married for 5 years with 2 kids and we were still unhappy. We separated and began the dreaded process of divorce. Hating each other through it all. I was convinced it was his fault because he didn' t love me and I had a right to quit.
I began to notice attention from other men which resulted in an adulterous heart. Right in the middle of all of this craziness God got a hold of my husband, changed his heart, and he now wanted to stay married. WOW after almost committing adultery ( although I had in my heart already) he wanted to work things out? You have to understand that was GOD. We hated each other. God's word says, the heart of the King is in His hands and he will turn it which ever way he wants. Praise HIM!
It took a while and a lot of prayer for my heart to be softened.I was so ashamed and felt like there was a big black stain on my marriage. I knew I needed deliverance, I knew it was a heart change God would have to do. I purposed everyday day, all day to sing the song, I'm trading my sorrows. This song brought deliverance from a sinful heart. I traded all of my sorrows, and shame for the joy of the Lord!
Eventually, my friends 5 year old son confronted us and wanted to know why we didn't go to Church. Haha Out of the mouth of babes, right? So, we started going to Church.
God brought us through a lot over the next few years. My youngest brother was on drugs and had been for many years. Through a series of events God opened up the door for us to send my brother to Second Chance here in Phoenix. It not only changed his life, but it brought my sister and her family to Spirit Life church. The next year my husband and our family moved to Phoenix and attended Spirit Life Church. We went through a lot of deliverance and relationship building in the first year. It was HARD and AWESOME at the same time.
Now, We have been married for 14 years and we have 4 boys. We have been transformed by the renewing of our minds. We are ministers at Spirit Life Church. We are in awe of God and all that he has done in our lives. I give God all the Glory, honor, and Praise!
