Profile Information

My Testimony (about me): Apostle Stephen E. Gardner will celebrate his 36th year of ministry in August 2011. In 1999 he was ordained an apostle in Indiana and had organized several churches and ministries before relocating to Phoenix.

He is the founder of Crown of Hope International. This ministry takes the message of Revival and Kingdom Reform and puts it in a context that addresses the spiritual, moral and social change of individuals, churches and the communities. Through this ministry he has sought to balance the sacred and secular responsibilities of the church as it relates to Kingdom building, by modeling the mission and mandate of Jesus Christ (Luke 4:18) into various sectors of society. To this end he has directed several key initiatives.

Project Restore, the initiative out of the Governors Office, which focused on spiritual care, basic needs assistance and stabilization of 2005 Hurricane evacuees who were relocated to Arizona.

Bridging The Gap, of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Foundation in Indianapolis, IN. This was a health initiative funded with a matching grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to increase HIV counseling and testing in communities of color and to expand this outreach into care coordination for those individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. In 2002, The Healing Church was established to provide a conducive atmosphere of worship, teaching and counseling for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Antioch Christian Academy (K-9th Grade), which he founded and served as the CEO from 1998-2004. Originally, based on his thesis, “How To Start A Faith-Based School: A Viable Strategy for the Urban Church.” This effort was established to address the needs of low-income families, whose parents were transitioning from the welfare to work and desired affordable private education.

Apostle Gardner and his lovely wife Kathy serve as pastors of Fresh Presence Community Church located in Scottsdale, AZ, and Hospice Chaplains, ministering to the terminally ill and their families.

Apostle Gardner holds a Master of Arts in Urban Ministry Studies, Martin University, Indianapolis, IN. Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, Martin University, Indianapolis, IN. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University, in Prescott Valley, AZ.
