- My Testimony (about me)
- I grew up north of Greenfield, Illinois.
After high school I joined the Navy for four years, from there I sailed on different types of civilian ships, tankers, freighters, the first ship I was on kept track of where Soviet subs were!
In Nov. of 1993 I had enough of shipping, I was ready to meet people, have friends, etc.
I went to a church my sister was going, she had met her boyfriend there and I knew people I had went to school with.
I eventually met Heidi, what a beauty she was, (and still is!) We dated for eight or nine months then got married Dec. 17, 1994.
We now have three children, Laney, Jaedyn and Courtney.
In Aug. of 2009 we had a challenge come our way, my wife lost her job. I was the stay at home/homeschooling dad, so I was making no money. She had worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Jacksonville, Il for ten years.
We were determined to stay positive!
In July of 2010 our home was foreclosed. The bank simply took possession of the house, they had worked with us and we understood the position they were in.
Back in May of 2009 I traded our minivan for a motorhome my brother-in-law had, ever since my days on ships I had the itch to travel and see things. The motorhome, even at it’s worst, was a dream come true! I had been gutting it out, waterproofing it, getting the engine running smoothly, etc. When the foreclosure happened the motorhome was ready.
We are traveling now and everyone is enjoying it, I can say I am living an abundant life. There are unknowns, but God has never let us down and I don’t believe He is going to.
I haven’t wrote about how God has worked during this time and why we believe this has all happened for a purpose, I am trying to keep things brief!
I am writing a book and the message in the book has become my ministry, telling humanity that the abundant life is achievable!
