My Testimony (about me)
I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I moved to Peru when I was 5 and lived there for 4 years. It was a difficult thing but I remember it as a wonderful experience. When I returned to San Francisco, my mother and father has gotten a divorce but it did not really affect me, since I was in Peru for a long period of time.
I had a wonderful childhood. When I was 12 my mother told me that the man who I knew as my father was not my father. My stepfather had been cruel to me many times and she thought maybe if I knew this would help me to understand. I could have been a bitter kid, but I refuse to let anything pull me down, even at a young age. People do ask me, do you feel bad that you have never met your father? I tell them is something I have put in God's hands and I will leave it there until he sees fits for me to meet him. I was a very curious child; I always wanted to know how things work. Though I was very curious which got me in trouble most of the time.
I really enjoyed my high school year at St. John's Ursuline High School, which was an all girl’s school. I really did all the things I enjoyed; student council, cheerleading, leadership classes, religion classes and my favorite was dance and drama.
In my senior year I met a boy named Bobby and boy did I think he was great, well at least in the beginning. Bobby came from a very rough background. Parent left when he was 16 because of his gang and drug lifestyle. Now when I met Bobby he was not doing any drugs, or was he involved in gangs, even though he had some residue of that lifestyle. He had a big anger problem but I thought I could change him.
We girls always think we can change a guy. Just remember we cannot change them only God can. After dating Bobby a few months we broke up because of his anger problem. We got back together and then broke up again. While he was visiting another girl, his car got stolen (which that is what he gets for cheating on me). His car was his God and he treasured it more than anything else. After his car got stolen, he took a gun and started to look for the guys who stole his car. When he went back to the location he found the guys and shot at them. That night he was arrested. I went to the county jail to see him and he was so angry at life and everyone.
It made me feel like anything I could do for him was useless. I thought that I could help him but I quickly realized that only God could help him. I was visiting a friend of his family and began to tell her about what the situation with Bobby was, she began to scream and shout "Don't worry God will take care of him," and she began to pray and speak in tongues and asked me if I would like to pray for him. I didn't care how weird things felt, all I knew is that I wanted Bobby to get help. It was at that very same time when a priest gave him a bible in jail. He began to read it out of boredom, but God lit that jail cell and began to speak to him. That night he gave his life to the Lord and began to preach to the other inmates. When he go out, we were walking down the street and a young man handed us a flyer for a movie called the cross and the switchblade. He threw the flyer on the floor I picked it up and shoved it in his jacket and I told him he needed to go.
That weekend he decided to attend the movie showing, the following Sunday, he took me to church and all I remember is the pastor asking if you want Jesus in your heart to come to the front. All I knew is that the love of Jesus came and touched me and all I wanted was more of Him. The next thing I knew, there was Bobby kneeling next to me crying. He looked at me a little puzzled and pointing at his face. I think he thought his face was leaking. At the very moment he runs to me and tells me that God told him that I was going to be his wife. I told him he was crazy, since in that very moment all I wanted was more of Jesus.
God began to do a miracle in both of our lives. 8 months later we were married and began to help young people. It has been my pleasure to help young people find their purpose and calling. I wouldn't want to anything else.
It has been 23 years since I gave my life to the Lord and it has been a great ride. Yes, there have been hard times but the good times outweigh the bad. I am grateful to the Lord for his keeping power and his grace and mercy over my life. I know if God can do a work in my life he can do it in yours. I hope this testimony was a blessing to you.

Hi ALL,

IT is really nice seeing all of you again. I always wished their was someway I could keep in touch of all of your as a group.. I really like this new TOOL you have to keep in touch with past and present students and their families.
I really tell so many people about your school. but money is a issue. In fact I just told a group about your school yesterday.
Kendall is doing very well . He is working in the bank . Man you should see him in Tie and nice shirt!!! Kendall as made a MIRACULOUS change thank God for using you all to bring that about. He has a most positive , outlook on life!!
Unfortunately he is not motivated to attend Church like he used to when used to . I don't feel good about that . But I think you know Church here is not geared to Young People like it is at Spiritlife. But none the less that is not a excuse.
So please pray for him that he actively becomes involved in church again and become a practising Christian.
Nonetheless Kendall is a WORLD of a difference than he was prior to your school and church.
I thank everyone of you again for the influence and imact you have made in his life!!! Thanks and do continue praying for him.
