My Testimony (about me): I am a 21 year old servant of the Lord.

I came to know the Lord when I was a very small child, too young to really know how to pray. My mother, who went Home to Heaven when I was seven, always taught me to be a child of God, and to serve Him in all my ways. My father always encouraged me to go to church. When he passed on, I was fourteen. I lost sight of my goal, and I became involved in paganism. I had to find my way back to the Lord after a long battling struggle with drugs, alcohol, sexual activity, and worldly music. Finally, the Lord found me at a time when I think I needed Him most, and I was looking for Him the least. I got an offer to play guitar at a church in Austin, Indiana. I only missed two or three church services over the course of three years. When I moved to Jeffersonville, I had to find a new beginning. I did, and have since been happily serving the Lord, and attending services at my new church. (I don't play guitar here, though)

I have been quite busy the last few weeks preparing to lead another year of ConneXions and preparing to go to Guatemala for a few months next year. I work at and attend a church called, Living Faith (lff.net). It is a healthy and biblically balanced church. I only have a handful of close brothers, but a vast number of acquaintances. I have been married for 2 years to a woman named Melanie. She is a good woman that loves the Lord. It is a real blessing to share the gift of life w/her. We spend our spare time taking walks, studying (Spanish and the Bible), watching movies,being hospitable to the hurting,etc. My goal is to plant several ConneXions schools in Latin America and the Philippians. Later in life I would like to run a transitional ministry for ex-convicts in the United States. One of my favorite passages in the scripture is Jer. 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.....6-7 years ago I read that verse in a prison cell... God spoke to my heart and told me I wouldn't believe what he could do with a heart fully devoted to Him... He is so good isn't He... Well my friend... I hope this finds you doing well and resting in the favor of the Lord.... Look forward to hearing from you again....
