Profile Information

My Testimony (about me): As a teen I struggled with identity issues, low self esteem and anger. Growing up in a home without my natural Father, I looked for the wrong type of love and acceptance in other people - especilally boys. I became very self destructive and depressed. After I was saved and baptised in 2002, The Lord slowly but surely delivered me from the majority of my demons. Right now I think God is showing me myself and what's in my heart. I'm not perfect (definately NOT) and Change definately doesn't happen overnight. I know that there are a lot of things in my heart that God is still working on. I joined LifeSpace to get encouragement and enlightment from other Christians like myself and to maybe, possibly witness or give assitance to a teen or someone who is going through what I went through.

I am 31 years old. (Oct. 7th 1980). I graduated with honors from Akron Institute for Dental Assiting. I've been married for 1 year now. I have 3 children of my own and a stepson. My kids are 2, 4, 6, and 11 in age. They are a handfull but I try to remember that they are a gift from God. They are a blessing and I try to appreciate their lives and cherish them...even when I get impatient after they frustrate me.

Right now I am a stay at home mom. My husband brings home the paycheck. I enjoy being there for my kids at home and particpating whenever they have school events. Being a stay at home mom is more fulfilling to me than having a career ever was. Its rewarding knowing that I can be there for my kids. And they see that. My kids give me more acknowledgement for my particiaption in their everyday lives than any boss I've had ever did.

I do plan on going back to work though. Plans are 1. we need a second car and 2. My 2 year old is on the waiting list for head start- he has to be 3 years old to go. Soooo just waiting.

Other things about me are; I'm kind of creative. I'm always drawing or doodling on any paper that's infront of me. I'll draw all over the phonebook if it's right there. I'm always laughing. It doen't take much to amuse me. That's why I'm married to my husband...he keeps me laughing.
I like the colors red, purple and orange. I absolutely loooooooove Chinese Food! General Tso's chicken and Sesame chicken, egg rolls, crab cakes, shrimp fried rice are my faves! I've been to Wasabi Japanese Restaraunt, everyone is on their tip or whatever, but they ain't got nothin on Hibatchi Japan- thay are the BOMB! Take Out is good too at Ju Juan's kitchen. Blah Blah Blah. Sorry, but I know my Chinese Spots. Gotta Have It.

I like listening to gospel and r&b music. My oldest daughter listens to a lot of pop so, I like that too.

If I'm not watching Elmo, Dora or Team UMIZOOMI with my 2 yr, old son. I like to watch Law & Order SVU, American Horror Story, Ellen, the House Wives of Atlanta & New Jersey or movies with my husband & kids.
