My Testimony (about me): I am blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful girls. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was around 8 years old. I was a "Sunday" christian until I was in my mid twenties and God chose to take my 5 year old son Preston home to be with Him. I felt as if I had nothing to live for. I became so depressed that I could not even function. I tried all different kinds of prescription pills for my depression, went to a psychiatrist, and then to a group for grieving parents. None of this was working. My life had spun out of control. One day, God spoke to my heart and asked me when I was going to come to Him for help. I immediately cried out to Him and felt the presence of God come over me. I stopped all medications and turned to God for comfort and encouragement. He brought me through some of the darkest days of my life. I was committed to raise my girls knowing God. The greatest days in my life were when they asked Jesus to become their Lord and Savior. There is nothing more important to me than my girls knowing and serving the Lord. This past year our previous church began to experience some trouble and it made me where I did not want to go to church. We went off and on and we began to let the enemy creep into our family. We tried a few different churches and recently have found our home with Bay Area Fellowship. I can see God working in our family every day. God is changing my heart constantly and bringing me back to that intimate relationship that I used to have with him. God says in 2 Corinthians that the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever. God never ceases to amaze me.

Thank you for your testimony on Sunday morning. I feel your desire for your children to seve the Lord. My wife and I pray hard everyday fro our 3 boys wanting them to not only serve the Lord but experience Him. Your committment you and your husband had to give it to the Lord brought tears to my eyes. Your testimony on sunday really touched me ... I too have a fourteen year old son in the program and both my husband and myself have felt every emotion the two of you expressed.... that was one long plane ride home hunh...! I will pray for your daughter and you and your husband. Even though my heart aches every day because I miss him so much I am so thankful for the way God is working in him. This whole experiance has been an incredible journey... that I believe is just beginning. we serve an AWESOME GOD!!! This was most DEFINATLEY the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I also know that my son was the one thing I would not give the Lord total control over.... I would pray constantly and then take back the reighns and just try to fix it. It has become VERY real to me thru this that Eric is mine BUT ultimately GODS FIRST.. the only way I could walk out the door and leave him in AZ is by totally putting my trust in his maker. We are so blessesd to have found a program like this one.... I really believe the same God that hung the sun today loves US so much he reached his hand from heaven and took us to the perfect place for our children to meet him.
