Profile Information

My Testimony (about me): I am a preacher's daughter who was sexually abused by my father for ten years when I was a child. Naturally this completely polluted my concept of God, love, father and trust. I spent most of my life trying to love God but always feeling such a sense of ambivalence in my relationship with Him. I just could not understand why Jesus had not come to rescue me when I had cried and prayed so many times for Him to come. It took me years to understand that He had in fact, rescued me - just not in the way I had wanted or expected Him to.

My book "Out of the Miry Clay: Freedom from Childhood Sexual Abuse" was published in June of 2008 and has gone to over 27 countries. To Jesus be all the glory!
