My Testimony (about me): GOD IS MY EVERYTHING! WHEN I LOOK OVER MY LIFE AND SEE THE THINGS I HAVE SURVIVED, I KNOW THAT IT IS GOD ALONE THAT I AM STILL ALIVE. THIS REVELATION DID NOT COME TO ME EASILY. I STRUGGLED WITH MY LIFE AFTER BEING RAPED, WATCHING MY GRANDMOTHER SLIP AWAY. ADDICTED TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL, BEING BETRAYED BY THE CHURCH. I HAD ALOT TO OVERCOME. MY HATRED FOR THE CHURCH AND EVERYTHING THAT WENT WITH IT GREW. AS MUCH AS I TRIED TO FORGIVE ALL THOSE WHO HURT ME, I REALIZED THAT MAN (MANKIND) HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY CONNECTION WITH GOD. THAT DESPITE HOW I FELT ABOUT PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH, SEPERATING MYSELF FROM GOD WAS ULTIMATELY A PUNISHMENT TO MYSELF. IT TOOK YEARS OF A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY THAT ENDED WITH ME FINDING MY LOVE FOR THE LORD AGAIN. I REALIZED THE THINGS I EXPERIENCED, WERE THINGS GOD ALLOWED TO HAPPEN, BECAUSE HE KNEW I WOULD MAKE IT, AND BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT THIS LOVE CANNOT BE QUENCHED. GOD IS THE AIR I BREATHE, HE'S THE SUN THAT WARMS MY SKIN. GOD IS THE PAIN AND JOY I FEEL. MY FAITH IN GOD IS MY TRUTH. THIS IS WHAT "MY" GOD MEANS TO ME. AS FOR MY "SECULAR" LIFE, I AM A 22 YEAR OLD STUDENT AT BCC STUDYING SOCIAL WORK AND PSYCHOLOGY. I WORK AT DEVEREUX FLORIDA WITH MENTAL ILL CHILDREN. I LOVE MY JOB BECAUSE IT'S LIKE WATCHING MYSELF WHEN I WAS THAT AGE. THE KIDS I WORK WITH ARE TRULY AMAZING AND I LOVE THEM. THEY ARE THE BEST TEACHERS IN THE WORLD (I STILL FEEL THAT WAY WHEN THEY BEAT ME UP LOL).I CHOSE THIS CAREER AND LINE OF EDUCATION BECAUSE OF MY CHILDHOOD IN FOSTER CARE AND THE DEMONS THAT TORMENTED MY MIND.I AM NOW MARRIED TO MY WONDERFUL HUBBY. 3 YEARS OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FROM A HUMAN IS HARD TO FIND, BUT GOD MADE HIM JUST FOR ME. I AM A SWEET GOOFY FAMILY ORIENTED PERSON WHO'S JUST LOOKING TO MEET SOME INTERESTING PEOPLE. I HAVE 2 BOYS. SPUNKY 3 AND BUDDHA 1, YES THEY'RE DOGS,BUT YOU WOULDN'T THINK SO FROM THE WAY I SPEAK AND ACT TOWARD THEM. SOMEDAY I WILL HAVE HUMAN BABIES BUT FOR NOW, MY DOGGIES DO JUST FINE.
