Now that the election is decided, we all need to stand together and pray for our president, our president-elect, and our nation. We need to set aside political preferences and focus on asking God's blessings on our leaders and our country.See More

My Testimony (about me)
I love Jesus with all my heart. I have ever since I can remember. I feel like I've been through it all. But, of course, that's how we all feel from time to time in the walk here on earth. I give my Lord, God , the Father , all the credit for my healing and renewal of my spirit from a place where my 'earthly" life was all messed up. God guided me and sheltered me through the past few years of heartache from the deaths of my sisters, an adulterous husband, divorce, depression, kids with depression, and serioius financial debt. I never doubted his presence with me and I had to trust him completely, because that's all I had left. Funny how easy it is to humble yourself before God when you have no where else to go. God did not fail me....he pulled me through this valley and has shown me that he has the power to do all things. He helped my children and gave me purpose and joy in my life again. The more I humbled myself before him, the more I could see him moving in my life. Praise God for his Grace and Mercy. God has used my experience to help others in similar situations. I'll put God first in my life now and forever. I gladly serve him and proudly proclaim his name.

Get off Your Mat! by Nantte Bess

We hurried out of church after Sunday School ended. A youth leader of another area church was saying farewell to his congregation that morning and my 13 year old son had participated in many of his youth activities during the past year or so. This man had been an important influence on my son, and since my son wanted to attend that church service instead of our own, I agreed and we headed to town. As I left our church, I explained to a few friends why… Continue

Kristen's Testimony Summer 2007

KRISTEN

AGE:18

Summer of 2007

I was raised Christian. My parents were married, I got good grades and was involved in many extracurricular activities. My father had an affair on my mom, which split my family. Everything went down hill from there. I went into depression, and dropped out of school. I basically quit life because I couldn’t deal with it. I went to many doctors, and was prescribed a lot of… Continue

The Blacksmith's Shop by Max Lucado

The Blacksmith's Shop

by Max Lucado

In the shop of a blacksmith, there are three types of tools. There are tools on the junk pile:

outdated, broken, dull, rusty.

They sit in the cobwebbed corner, useless to their master, oblivious to their calling.

There are tools on the anvil:

melted down, molten hot, moldable, changeable.

They lie on the anvil, being shaped by their master, accepting their calling.

There are tools of… Continue

By Charles Finney

Quote byCharles Finney

"The true friends of God and man feel compassion for sinners, but are more concerned for the Honor of God. They are more distressed to see God abused and dishonored than to see sinners go to hell. If God must either be forever dishonored or men go to hell, they will decide that sinners must sink to endless torment sooner than God suffer dishonor".

The Refiner's Fire

Malachi 3:3 says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention… Continue

WE are ALL the WORK of YOUR HAND by Nanette Bess

by Nanette M. Bess

“Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8

I used to wonder so much why God put us in certain places in our lives, not that I still don't ask him why a lot, but in my heart I know that we just have to pass through certain events, certain times to be "carved" or "molded" into what he needs us to be. And we so often make it so… Continue

Nanette,
One of the scriptures says "Call the things that are not as though they are" In other words you continually speak the promise of God before you see the Promise of God. Let's say your finances have been struggling with your words only speak positive confession over your finances, not what you see, but what God promises which is abundance and prosperity!
Secondly your words are the water that causes your seeds of faith to grow. When you plant a seed of faith into something by taking action your prayers and words cause that seed to grow or not.
David said in Psalms " I will yet praise you, oh God".
What he means is I will praise you despite the situation because I know that it is only for a season and it's only to draw me closer to you. That is the purpose of trials....to refine you! Never cease to give thanks is another one. I am sorry I don't have my references for you but those are what the verses say!
Have a good day!
