Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
It took me a lot of courage to write this because I know the attitude in Slave Lake towards Christians. I have seen the persecution towards them at my work, when I was in school, and pretty much my every day life in Slave Lake. Most people I know consider a Christian someone who doesn’t drink, do drugs, swear, have sex and many other things that our society today considers normal. I have made the decision to quit doing the things that the people I know think are acceptable, and I am going to do what God thinks is acceptable.
I have changed. I have quit doing drugs, I have quit putting people in my life that make me falter. I do not mean this in a way as my friends are not important to me, because believe me they are. The thing is I need to get my life straight, and so do you. Some people influence me in a bad way, and some in a good, and if you won’t let God change you, then I’m not gonna let you change me. I love my friends, but they wouldn’t die for my sin.
Now in my everyday life I am happier, more motivated and just overall a better person in the way I treat myself and others. I have cut off drinking, drugs, and every other thing that God thinks is unacceptable from my life. I choose to be different, and I know it’s the smart choice to make. The Bible tells me that I will suffer persecution for being a Christian, and I am willing to take it. I hope and pray that some of you will see what I see, and will choose to be different and want more out of life.

Confidence.
I seem to have a problem. I have no confidence in who I am, and this brings about depression, sadness, overreaction, pain, and many other things that are not beneficial but bring me down lower and lower every time they appear. They cause me to lose sight of who I am, what is real and they push away people who Love me and care about me. I needed help about an hour ago. I was freaking out because of a confidence problem.
