My Testimony (about me): Hey There!
This is Priyansha, from India. I am 15.
Its amazing what GOD can do. I was born in a Christian family. My Mom was very spiritual and i always knew that I was supposed to go to GOD for anything i needed. I grew up in India,
When i was in 3rd grade, My dad got a Job in Nigeria in an NGO. So we had to move there and then i was introduced to chat sites. I began chatting with guys who were much older than me. I thought i found pleasure in doing so. I did not know what i was getting into.
The next year, i happened to go to a Pastors house. There, i gave my life to the Lord. But i knew that i was just faking it. I told my Mom that i saw and felt something but i really didn't. I lived with it.
Life went on, and i returned to India when i was in 8th grade. Unfortunately, my life was taken over by some kind of rebellion. I wouldn't obey my parents. I would swear at them and scold them. I would lock myself in my room and think of terrible things.
People say internet is a house of trouble. I say its true. There are so many sites which can kill you spiritually. It happened to me. I started using chat sites again. I got into sex chat and porn sites. I found many sites and i would just sit and watch them. I was doing it over and over again. It was like a trap i couldn't escape from. Although i received pleasure from it, i felt like a hole was developing in my heart. The more i visited these sites, the bigger the hole seemed to grow. I knew that the only hope i had was God. But, i was stubborn and strongly refused to go to Him.
I was into worldly pleasure and I was only interested in pleasing my body. I couldn't stop and i felt horrible. I hid everything from my family and even my mom. None knew what i was going through. I wanted to tell my Mom but i was not brave enough to tell anyone. I wanted to disappear.
Finally, i confessed my sin to the Lord and hope that i would stop it. But i got back to it and I felt even more hopeless. I started masturbating and i thought that was all i had to lay back on in life. My life was ruined and it was worse in school. I would get depressed easily and get angry for every silly reason. My life was a heap of depression and it was all because of Internet and worldly pleasure.
On January 1st, 2011 ( This Year ), I happened to be watching God TV. I was watching a Youth Conference with lots of Praise and Worship. There were songs which touched me tremendously and I started crying. I cried and screamed as I watched the show. I felt like all my past was being washed away. God was cleansing me. He was cleansing my thoughts, feelings and my entire body! I was in his presence for a long time and i finally felt like there was Hope. I felt Happy for the first time in my life and this happiness was something which i couldn't contain. I started laughing and Praising God. This time, i knew that i was NOT faking it. I really gave my life to the Lord and i knew that i was a new creation in Christ.
Now, i am living the new life which he gave to me. I am praying everyday and reading His Word. The Lord speaks to me through His Word. I am Living only to Praise Him and to know Him even more. I just know that He has great plans for me and i do not have to afraid because He loves me and i am precious to Him. He promised me that He is always with me and He will never leave my side!! I AM A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST!
