My testimony is personal and may be VERY disturbing to some, but i felt called to share my story in hopes that it will help others going through a similar situation, and i would not have put this out in the open had i not felt a calling in my heart and soul to do so......

i just want to encourage anyone who is going through a rough time to keep holding on to hope, cause there's going to be brighter days!

i will agree and testify that life really sucks sometimes and it seems like it's hard to get ahead. There are many hardships and trials we all face and a fight we all struggle with in our lives. For some it may be drugs and alcohol, for others a broken family, depression, suicide, abuse, mental illness, eating disorders, self-injury, and maybe even all of the above.

I used to live life completely and totally hopeless. There was a lot of severe abuse i suffered growing up (emotional, sexual) and i began to blame myself for everything. I coped by partying, going to rock concerts, dressing in dark clothes, self mutilation, and rebelling. But depression and suicidal thoughts clouded my mind. My heart and soul was empty, and though i Was living, there was still an empty void inside my heart. I remember when i was 13, i put the barrel of a gun against my head, and prayed, telling God i was going to pull the trigger when i got to 3 and if i was meant to die, let the bullet end it. I started counting and as i went to pull the trigger, i heard my brother and grandfather in the other room so i put the gun away. YEARS LATER I FOUND OUT THE GUN WAS LOADED. As i got older, i started flirting with potential killers online, and had fantasies of someone ending my life just to end the pain. Finally, as a last resort, i dropped down and CRIED OUT TO GOD TO SAVE ME!! TO TAKE MY LIFE!! AND SOON AFTER, i felt this strange and PEACEFUL presence come over me and the darkness began to fade. I COULDN'T STOP SMILING!!! I WANT TO THANKYOU JESUS FOR SAVING MY LIFE!! I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL! He pulled me out of the dark void i was living in and brought me onto a mountain of clouds, GAVE ME HOPE FOR A FUTURE!!

Everything happens for a reason, we are all here for a reason that we can't quite understand or comprehend. When life seems hopeless, and like a situation will never get better, KEEP HOLDING ON TO HOPE!! Cast your cares upon God because He loves you and KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH! Hold strong to what you believe and Keep sight of the light......keep fighting on because we are made for a greater purpose :)
