God's Gift

In Colorado, God gave me a gift in a totally unexpected place. We were invited to a beautiful house up on the mountainside. After visiting with our hosts over a great homemade Italian dinner, we went out on the balcony. We could see out over Glenwood Springs; all the city lights in the blackness of the night. At 11:26am on April 8, 2008, Becky Andrews said…: It's amazing working with these kids, seeing what God is doing, how He is leading them, working with them through all their stuff. One girl spoke at prayer time this morning about how we get into our schedules and do what we need to do, the problem is that we do this with God as well. She brought out that we need to re-examine our mindsets about God. It was interesting how as I made the list there was one word I used that bothered me - distant. I need to examine why I feel that way. I think it is a hold over from how I used to view God! I am doing a lot of cleaning, sorting, and getting rid of personal stuff - Spring cleaning. Maybe we need to do this as a kind of "spiritual spring cleaning." Bless you, Angel
