My Testimony (about me): Well, here goes. . I'm 35, married to the man I've gone to school with since I was 4yrs of age and have 8 children. Don't give me all the credit yet I only gave birth to 5. I consider myself a mutt for Jesus. I was born into hispanic traditions and baptized catholic. When I was about 7 or 8 I attended a little Baptist church and was baptized baptist. When I was 11 my father had a calling on his life and was led to a pentecostal church where I was baptized once again in the water then with the gift of the holy spirit and speaking in tounges. My family attended the church for 4 yrs. During that time is when I went thru what I call my rebellion years. Sex, drugs, attempted suicide. Then we changed churches again. My mother took me and my younger brother to a christian church with a lot of young people and an awesome youth ministry. I was just stubborn still. Teen pregnancy happened once, then twice. I happened to end up in a very abusive relationship. Physically, mentally, emotionally, for many years I gave into the control this individual had. After a while I found that my spirit was begining to be broken. I had always remembered that God did not give us a heavier cross than we could bear but I knew I was a fool to allow myself to be beaten this way. There were times that I would be hit and I couldn't see out of my own eyes. After 8 years I finally walked away and never went back. I had to for the sake of my own life as well as the lives of my children. I realized that God could not do those things that had been prophesied over me in bible camp all those years prior if I didn't leave. It took me another 8 yrs to find a place that I could call Home. . . . . . . . I will say this the day that I walked up to the doors of Spirit Life Church my soul came alive once again. I knew at that instant that I was HOME. I feel as if I'm getting to know the Lord all over again. =) =)

matthew's european vacation

It was 6:00 a.m this morning when my mother and I were at the airport seeing Matthew off threw security. It was the furthest we could go with him physically. Since Monday I have been doing a fast and will continue until he returns thanking the Lord for keeping him safe, and blessing him on this one of many lifes trips he will be taking.
