Profile Information

My Testimony (about me): My testimony is this... Jesus has rescued me! He has rescued me from a life of sin, self-destruction and pain. It is His love that fills me with joy, strength and hope for the future.
I was raised in a home filled with anger, abuse and violence. It was really scary and lonely. It was my love for Jesus that sustained me in my early years. I don't know where I first met the Lord, but He would visit me when I prayed as a little girl. I'd never known my real father. He abandoned us when I was a baby and it was a great source of pain in my heart. As I got older I blamed my mother and her fits of rage for the loss of my father (and subsequent step-fathers). That blame quickly became a judgement against my mother that opened the door to a deep rooted spirit of rebellion in my life. I quickly slipped into a life of drugs, drinking , sex, and parties. It also led to fighting (the same violence I swore I'd never act out became my life), getting expelled from school, and living on my own at 16. I was living a hopeless life of sin. When I was18 I met a man who just loved me to life with a simple love that I felt I did not deserve. I was wounded and suspicious of love but he broke through all of that pain and asked me to marry him and I said yes. Unfortunately we were still in the world. We partied, did drugs and plenty of drinking. Until I found out I was going to have our first baby. At that moment my heart screamed "I NEED JESUS"!! I knew that if I raised a baby without Jesus I'd hurt him badly. So I took my first steps back to God. My husband got saved and we began getting healed and discipled. We were going to church, our family was growing, we were in love, and we were blessed. Then my husband died suddenly in a car accident. I was totally shattered and so was my faith. I turned away from God in my pain and grief when I needed Him most. I fell into deep depair and self-destruction. I lived worse than I had before. I didn't think that I could ever come back to God after doing the things I did. Especially because I had been a Christian! But I was yearning for Him so badly. Like a starving man needs food, I was spiritually dying and I needed the Lord in my heart. Then one day a woman walked up to me and said "The Lord wants you to know that there is no place you can go in life where you can't come back to Him". I was astonished. I thought... can I really come back to You now? He said yes. He always says yes when we want to come home. So I came back to Jesus and I found a love that I never thought I'd know. I have a relationship with Him I never thought was possible. He's healed me and my children. Restored my relationship with my mother better than it's ever been! Cleansed me just as He promised to do. He's turned my mourning into dancing and shown me His everlasting mercy.

I am hoping to be at church on Friday night.
I am going to try real hard to get caught up on everything through the week. I have bible collage wed night and a teaching I have to have ready for my class and I have church on thursday(at my home church?) and I have to help my kids with their school work and just life you know, anyway if you don't see me Friday night I was not able to do everything but If you do, well... Praise God.
