My Testimony (about me)

Hey, what's up, I'm Shad Surgis, I'm 16 years old. I'm originally from Springfield, Illinois but I now resign in Phoenix Arizona.
Let me brake it down for you. I grew up not in a very well environment, I put myself in the wrong crowd,and I was always getting into trouble. In around 5th grade my grandfather died and it was very hard on me. I started rebelling even more. I started flunking out of school, disrespecting my teachers and my parents. Before I had even left Jr. high, i had lost my virginity, started drinking, smoking weed, and cigarettes. When high school came around, i started going even more down hill. I was having even more sex, drinking every night, and getting hi. I started doing cocaine, exctacy, acid, shrooms, salvia, and smoking opium. I was always hi, i thought you couldnt go through life without being hi. I lived in poverty and bad areas all my life, i didn't think i could do any better. I started selling drugs my freshman year of high school, i broke into cars, stole cars for money and drugs, i broke into houses, rob stores and jump people for their money. The end of my Sophmore year, I was flunking out of school, selling drugs, partying, building up on my criminal record, and not living at home. I got several tattoos and piercings. 2 weeks into August of 2007, I got arrested for a D.U.I. and giving false information to a police officer and I already had two arrest warrants out for me. I was looking at jail time and needed to find a way to get out. I found 2nd chance at Spirit Life Church and thought it was the best rehabilitation prgram for me and I was told that this rehab would make me look good in court. I did'nt like the fact that I would have to go to church and be surrounded by God all the time. I didn't believe in Him or want to believe in Him. I had already had 7 of my friends die and my grandpa, i couldn't understand hom some God who suposidly made all things would let that kind of stuff happen and that He would let me live in a hell-hole. When I came down to 2nd chance, I hated it and thought it was going to be a long 3 months (that was the amount of time I was to be in 2nd chance). I cussed out everyone, rebelled, and refused to listen to my authority. I was smoking cigarettes and poppin pills in the bathroom with the rest of the program kids.
After one month of being here, at houe aof prayer, I found the love of Jesus Christ. I can't describe how I felt that night. I was broken and wanted to know him more. I couldn's stop crying. I gave everything up and started serving God and never wantes to go back to the life I was living. God has blessed me these past 6 months of being here. I graduated high school early, I was involved with the real estate prorgram, I have joined Elijah Generation, and am committed to Spirit Life Church. God is My healer, My Creator, and My Best friend. I love Him more than I could have ever imagined loving anyone and I give Him all the praise and the glory for what He has done in my life and how He has used me as a light into the darkness. That's my testimony.
