Yesterday at church the new song "wake up" was sang. At first, sounded like just another song with a good message. But then later that afternoon, I was sorta shook from my sleep with the events that took place as I was driving home at about 4:30.....
I was going north on 19th Ave. to turn onto Indian School. We were almost to the light, and the car ahead of us just coasted right through the red light. CRASH!!!! We watch a pick-up smash into the driver's door and both are totaled. We get out and help and call the police. Both cars have children in them. The ppick-up had an infant in the font seat and the t-boned car had a 8 year old girl. No one was seriously hurt, but it could have been very bad had anyone not had their seatbelt on. Police came, we gave our witness reports and we get back in the car to go home. WAKE UP
We make it all the way to Central and Indian School, a whole mile or so, and as I'm slowing down for the light, something tells me to look right. Right there on the bench for the bus stop, a young man is grabbing his chest and is in agonizing pain. So I pulled into the AMPM gas station and we all run up, pull the headphones out of his ear, and try to find out what is wrong. He can not speak, and after a few seconds, goes limp and passes out. We start praying like crazy, warfare, angery warfare. We had already called the paramedics...again.....and were checking his pulse and breathing..........barely a pulse.......still breathing..........3 minutes.....4 minutes.....and he comes to. Paramedics show up, do their thing and we give him a ride home, and have a chance to witness to him. WAKE UP
Not 5 minutes after we drop him off there are 5 kids ages 8 to 12 probably running on the sidewalk to our left. Another red light, and they take off in front of us and in the oncoming traffic lane, a Nissan has to slam on the brakes and misses 3 of them by 2 maybe 3 feet. Everyone in my car watched the whole thing. After that, I had to pull over and just breathe and relax a minute. I was so angry, still am. Angry that satan is out, never sleeping, never resting, trying to take lives and souls, before they have a chance to even hear about the truth of Christ. Chances are, all these people have never been truly witnessed to, but after God opened out eyes a little more to the reality of how fragile life is yesterday, I am compelled to share the gospel with everyone! To intercede and warfare more! To forget myself and reach out to a dying world, and I hope that everyone does the same.
WAKE UP!!!
