THE 5 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO WHILE IN THE WILDERNESS

Do you remember when you became a Christian, you made Jesus the Lord

of your life and you felt the weight of sin being lifted from your soul

Oh what a wonderful experince, feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life

Oh what joy unspeakable, some of us were delieverd from drugs, booze, and illecit lifestyles

and the list goes on for some of us. It seemed like a fantasy come true and dream that you

never wanted to wake up.

But then BAM realities of this world creeps up on you friends and family

who once loved you don't want

to deal with you anymore because you got born again or maybe your business goes bankrupt or

you lose a high paying job or maybe even worse

you find out that you have a disease that maybe life threatning

Whatever the case may be ladies and gentleman, boys and girls

you are now going through a place

in your life that appears to be barren, hopeless

and lonely you are now going through THE WILDERNESS

Now what is the Wilderness ?

It's a place where God molds you, teaches you,

conforms you more into the image of Christ

It's place where God sometimes shows you His divine call on your life

It's a place where God desires that you learn more about Him and His ways

Every Christian must and will go through this experince to be taken to the next

level of faith and blessings in their lives.

The Wilderness is never comfortable but remember you are just going through

you are not meant to stay there but I believe how fast you go through depends

on your conduct and attitude.

Just look at the children of Israel when God used Moses to deliever them from the slavery in Egypt

and what happened in the wilderness on their journey to the Promise Land

God on many occasions wanted to wipe them out totally because of their conduct and attitude

in the wilderness (read the book of Exdous). Even Moses the very instrument God used

didn't make it into the Promise Land because he lost his temper causing him to displease the Lord

because those folks were constantly out of line.

The journey was only supposed to take 11 days but they ended up staying

in the Wilderness for 40years YIKES !!!!

That's why I have written"THE 5 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO WHILE IN THE WILDERNESS"

1. Keep an attitude of gratitude.No matter how bleak your present condition looks remember that things could and have been worse be thankful for what God has given you even if it's not exactly what you want because somebody else is worse off than you and once you've masterd an attitude of gratitude God it will take you closer into your Promise Land.

2. Trust God. No matter how bad the situation looks "David said I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread". Now I know it seems that God has left you hangingin limbo but it's not the case at all He just has a perfect plan for our lives in other words He's working things out for our good. "He may not come when you want Him but He's right on time".

3. Speak The Word. This is very important ! Life and death are in the power of the tongue this is the way to even experince victory in your wilderness is to speak His Word, to experince joy in the wilderness, prosperity in the wilderness though you are still in the wilderness the Words that you speak will determine how you go through it or better yet how fast.

4. Avoid Grumbling And Complaining. This is what displeased the Lord greatly about the children of Israel why this?, why that?, why did you bring us here? This shows that you don't trust God and also it prolongs your journey in the wilderness because you are looking at the present and not the future now remember you are going through which means you are going foward to a desired destination so why do you keep focusing on your present by grumbling and complaining it keeps you stuck in one spot.

5. Continue To Serve The Lord. Many times when are going through the wilderness muchlike the children of Israel we tend to look at our past life we used to live (the good time which were really not good at all) and we desire to go back to that stuff forgetting toture that we endured which was the very reason we gave our lives to the Lord but the flesh, the devil and the world will make it look like they are having such a great time so you can return to the mess you were once in but I plead with continue to serve the Lord no matter what because in the end God has a Promise Land for you but the devil, all he has for you is death pure death.

So there you have it just something to think about as you go through the wilderness
