September 6,2009 : Lesson Learned

Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 3:39pm

Hello all... Been a while since I've shared a note. So I'm excited to write this one and share the lesson God showed me through a paper bring handed out ( yeah a paper). I pray that how ever this relates to you and your life that you will just seek God and be able to understand/learn what you may need to from this lesson I recently learned. Here goes.....

Friday, I was sitting in my last class of the day Dance 260- Movement Fundamentals. We all ( the class) were sitting on the floor and a large circle because Friday is lecture day. So, I was sitting between AK ( left) and Rachel (right), when Carol( my professor) walked in and handed Rachel papers to pass around. Now, I was thinking that since I was sitting right next to Rachel that she was going to just hand me a paper but she didn't to passed them to her right. I wanted to ask but something within ( the Spirit) said no.

So as the papers slowly but surely went around the circle, I thought" Dang, it's just papers... what's taking so long?!?!" I remember looking up to see where the papers where but I couldn't tell. Then it got to the point of me asking aloud " Where are the papers?". AK who was next to me reached out her hand to receive the papers, but Carol informed us that they were coming around and there were others who needed to get to them first. So then I was like ok their coming.... Then they went to Kathryn who put them down ( lol). So now I'm thinking really? Can I get a paper... all I want is a paper. I then asked for them and finally I received my paper.

So what did I get from this????

Well, as most of you know, I desire to me married! I'm excited to meet the man God has for me and spend the rest of this life with Him. So, God spoke to me regarding marriage through this paper lesson. Carol represented God coming in and giving someone whatever it is that they have been desiring in this case marriage ( maybe not desiring). Rachel represented other women that I know who are currently courting, engaged or married. The papers not coming to me first represented it not being my time right now to be a wife. Rachel not handing me a paper before everyone else represented that there is no short cuts in this process. The papers going around represent that others have/will receive what I desire before me. Me asking where the papers were represented me wanting to know when I am going to be given to my future husband. Me not being able to tell where the paper where represented me know knowing when I will be a wife. Carol telling us to wait represented God saying the time is coming, don't want what anyone else has or when they have it ... just want. Kathryn putting the papers down represented how other's just put there married down or not even appreciate what they have. And me finally receiving the paper represented my day of being a wife coming when God says its time.

Yeah, I know that was a lot and you may be thinking " Now how did she get that from some papers?" All I can say is God spoke to me through it... He speaks through simple and complex things in life. I've also learned from this that I will be happy for those around me getting married because if it's of God, it's there time, it's His will and I should be happy with His will. I also realize that not everyone is seeking God for their marriage, so it's their doing ,not God's. I want what God has for me.

So I share this personal lesson with you all as encouragement... what He has for you is coming...whether it's marriage, a important decision, job related, school related, family related etc. Seek His face and not His hand. I know there are areas in my life that God has to clean up ( always will be) before I unite with my future husband. And it may be similar for you in that God needs and wants to clean you up.

I'm enjoying this process and taking it day by day with every lesson learned, every tear, every smile....

Prayer
Father God, I just thank you right now for the lesson learned. I thank you for loving me enough and more than I will ever know to teach me, clean me and mature me. I thank you for this process that you are taking me through and I pray that the end result with be your will being done. I love you and thank you for who you are and for being in my life. Help me to help others and encourage others. It's in Jesus precious name I pray. Amen

Love y'all,

Tasha
