We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Plow Fitness Program

Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." ~ Luke 9:62

One reason is that Jesus is in the yoke, pulling you forward and He would rather you progress from merely putting your hand to the plow, to joining Him in His yoke (Matthew 11:29). Not enough is taught and preached about the Great Cooperation with God, as He works through us. He will never do His best work through us without our full cooperation.

I cannot—and do not want to—go back. I have come too far. It would be as dying. What He has invested in me is more precious than gold (1 Peter 1:7, 18-19). I may turn away form this person or that, from this group or that, from this man-made doctrine or that; but I cannot turn away from Jesus, Who has led me this far.

Dear fellow pilgrim—regardless of how far you have come with Christ—do not turn back, but go forward. However, if you have looked back—maybe turned back—then see Him beckoning you with love in His eyes? The plow and yoke, both with your name and His on them, are still there. He wants to make you “fit for” service “in the Kingdom of God” again.

“Come, we that love the Lord, and let our joys be known; join in a song with sweet accord, join in a song with sweet accord and thus surround the throne, and thus surround the throne. We're marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion; we're marching upward to Zion, the beautiful City of God.”

Comment by Robert Joseph Brander on November 17, 2011 at 7:35pm: AMEN! coming back after running for ten years is difficult cuz i dont feel God, but i believe i can be forgiven,delivered,set free, and used by the Lord to bring Him GLORY! If He can still love me and want me than i know there is hope for every one that still has breath...Praise the LORD!
