We can evangelize or socialize. It all depends on whether you are saved or not.

Where does sin come from? What is sin? Have you wondered about these questions. Have you ever wondered if God is everything, and the devil is nothing where does it come from? Why does God allow for us to be tempted? I think as Christians, we are asking the wrong questions and are looking at sin in a negative way. This may come as a shock to most people, but God created sin. In Isaiah 45:7 it says “I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.” God created the potential for evil when he gave us free choice when he created us. We choose not to be one with God and that is what creates evil and sin in this world. When we decided to eat from the tree of Knowledge we made a decision to disregard our obedience to what God had to say, in not eating from the tree. Why do we have temptation in our lives? When we get tempted it is a reminder that were are humans that have been given a free choice and that we are able to choose God. We have a choice of making a relationship with God and understanding why he created us and how everything came into plan. In James 1:2-3 it says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” Also, remember that Jesus was tempted as well when he was in a human form. In Hebrews 4:15 it says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet was without sin.” Jesus has endured the same temptations that we are going through. We can’t every say that Jesus doesn’t understand being tempted for he has already overcame them. For when we are weak that is when our true strength comes out within us. In John 16:13 it says, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” Jesus has already endured all the temptations that we are facing as Christians but we are reminded that he is right here beside us helping us to get through them. Jesus knows what direction to take so we just need to follow him and trust that he will direct us in the right path. May we also remember this verse 1 Corinthians 10:13“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”So may we be reminded that the Lord will always be with us in the trials that we face.
